Octopus

When my boyfriend first brought me my embroidery machine, I was really quite sceptical as to whether I'd use it or not.

I don't think I've quite got my monies worth yet but I'm working on it! One of the biggest problems I have is I'm simply not up to speed with all of the functions, which would probably be quite handy (ya think?!). I'm also not very good at judging the size something will turn out. So something which I think will be a cute badge turns out to be somewhat biggerr, like the octopus below (which, incidentally, needs tidying up, loose threads cut away etc).

That can means I tend to end up with odd embroidery pieces that start off with one project in mind and end up used for something else. So, to coin an old, overused phrase - practice makes perfect! I shall keep on plugging away, especially as I've just brought some new designs!
