Scrummy new fabrics & Fabric Swap!

I’m in the process of making some new bunting! As you can see, its in my usual choice of florals.

As I cut these out last week, I got thinking about the fabrics I usually choose. Mostly, I tend to use florals, which strikes me as funny, really, as I don’t have much in the way of floral at home - I tend to keep things plain. Sometimes though, its good to shake things up and choose away from the norm. I think it helps stir up new ideas?

So, after what seems like an age of a fabric drought I did a spot of fabric shopping last week and this lovely lot turned up from Saints and Pinners and M is for Make!

Remember I asked in a previous post if anyone would be interested in a fabric swap? I didn't get as much interest in it as I'd hoped for but a few people said they'd like to take part, so here we go!

I'm keeping things really simple!
  • Leave me a comment with your email address to say you'd like to take part.
  • Friday 23rd July 2011 is the closing date for signing up. Afterwards,I shall email everyone with their swap partner's name and email address. Make contact with them and arrange to send your fabric out within a week.
  • The swap is for 2 fat quarters. (Please make sure that your fabric is in good, usable condition!). Feel free to arrange with your swap partner the type of fabric you would like to swap/receive - or keep that element of surprise!
  • Open Worldwide!
Any other comments, just shout! Hope you want to take part :)

(PS - feel free to display the blog button above, just make sure it links back to this post)
